The Choice for the Single Professional
THE
DENVER
POST
Will you be my not-so Valentine? What’s
love got to do with it?
It’s
Valentine’s Day tomorrow. The
day you are suppose to feel (a) guilty if you don’t fawn all over the one you
love or (b) like a natural-born loser if you don’t have anyone to fawn over.
Let’s suppose for a moment
that you would like to meet someone new, but it doesn’t mean, necessarily,
that you’re looking for love
..Enter
DINNER FOR SIX, in business since
August 1994, matching up single for good food and, one hopes, equally good
dinner conversation. It is not,
emphasize founder Robert Denison, a place to find a love
bunny.
“It’s not a dating service, we’re not match- makers,” says
Denison. “We hand-pick three men
and three women who we think would be compatible and would enjoy meeting each
other over dinner.
“We can't guarantee that you'll meet the love of your life.”
It’s not hopeless, however. “That’s
not to say it can’t happen, “ says Denison.
Well, sure 60 marriages between 94 and January 2000. It certainly didn’t happen the time dinner would up being five Democrats and one Republican and the conversation immediately turned to politics. D46 charges a $595 membership fee, and $15 for each event, to cover making arrangements. Then there’s a Profile to figure out what your interest are. At present there are over 400 members. Dinners are held all over town in a variety of unique restaurants (not your every neighborhood chains). More information is available at 303-777-0700 or on their web site www.dinnerforsix.com.
